A Lagos State Governorship candidate at the 2019 elections, Mr Jimi Agbaje, has described the ban by the Lagos State government on Okada and Tricycle operators on some routes in the state as counterproductive, adding that “it will have negative ripple effects on the economy” of the state.
Agbaje, who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, said Okada and Tricycle operators in the state have thus far regulated themselves and should be allowed to continue operations.
Agbaje tweeted on his verified Twitter handle, “A Lagos for the 21st century needs proper planning. The reasons for the ban on commercial motorcycles and tricycles by the Lagos State Government are noted. But what about the people?
